Hummus

Ingredients

enough for 4 portions

  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 150g tahini (typically half a glass)
  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch of cumin

Serve with pita.

Hummus

Method

  1. Wash the chickpeas and try to peel the peas as best as possible; set aside.
  2. Put the tahini in a food processor, add the olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic.
  3. Add water into the food processor until the mixture is creamy.
  4. Add the chickpeas, salt and cumin into the tahini mixture.
  5. Process everything in the food processor until the hummus' consistency is smooth.
