enough for 4 portions
- 1 can chickpeas
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 150g tahini (typically half a glass)
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pinch of cumin
Serve with pita.
Hummus
Method
- Wash the chickpeas and try to peel the peas as best as possible; set aside.
- Put the tahini in a food processor, add the olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic.
- Add water into the food processor until the mixture is creamy.
- Add the chickpeas, salt and cumin into the tahini mixture.
- Process everything in the food processor until the hummus' consistency is smooth.
